OCAF SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship Requirements:

1. GRADE LEVEL

Must be a graduating high school senior (Class of 2024) entering at the college freshmen level, as a full-time student, in the upcoming fall semester and/or pursuing art at a college or technical school.

 

2. GPA

Must have a minimum high school grade point average (GPA) of 3.0. Aeries grade printout or unofficial transcript from a school counselor must be uploaded with your application.

 

3. BRIEF RESUME

Please provide a resume with a brief description of the following that apply:

● Student Activities (sports, band, clubs, etc.)

● Special Awards/Recognition

● Accomplishments

● Community Involvement (including employment)

● Hobbies and Interests

● Your Art Background

● Your Future Plans

 

4. PORTFOLIO/PERFORMANCE VIDEO CLIP:

Visual art applicants must submit a digital portfolio with 8-10 JPEG images of original artwork. Artwork should be photographed with a plain background and not edited or digitally altered except to make it a more accurate representation of the actual artwork. Photography and digitally generated artwork should be identified as such. Please put your name and title on each piece of artwork submitted.

Performing arts, music, or dance applicants must provide a reasonable quality video not to exceed four minutes in length. This may consist of multiple clips or be one single performance. Please tell us your name, title, and a brief explanation of the performance piece.

To provide all children in the Orcutt Union School District the opportunity to experience and participate in the visual and performing arts by bringing together community resources.

The information you provide on this application is confidential and will be used solely for the determination of the scholarship award. Your signature below gives consent to the Orcutt Children’s Arts Foundation to use the information you have provided to verify eligibility and to publicize your scholarship award, should you be selected.

A scholarship in the amount of $500 - $1,000 will be awarded to 2-4 graduating seniors attending Orcutt Academy High School who will be pursuing their education in the arts, including:
Fine Art, Performing Arts, Music or Dance.
